CHIP INFO - The Alhambra Cinema, pictured on this shirt as it stood in 1937.  It was located in the Palestinian city of Jaffa.  What is now the municipality of Tel Aviv.  The building still exists and serves as an example of the ethnic cleansing campaign Israel has lead on the Palestinian people, land, and history.  Jaffa and this cinema were alive with culture before Israel’s occupation began, despite the narrative that it was uninhabited.  Jaffa itself as a center of journalism in Palestine.  Much like the cinema, after the Nakba Israel has attempted to purge archives and remnants of the culture that existed there.   The cinema stands as a reminder that despite efforts to cover up history, the Palestinian story will be told.
